This project explores the dedication needed to make and repair shoes with traditional skill, which is a dying craft. Bespoke handmade shoes have become a niche market, as we become more dependent on technology. W.J. French & Son is a traditional shoe shop yet its custom is mainly in the workshop where these images are based.
